How to Reach Muktinath....?

1. Easiest option is take a flight from Pokhara to Jomsom then hike for 7-8 hours from Jomsom

2. Trekking is another option all the way from Pokhara through Kali- Gandaki valley; it takes 7/8 days.

3. These days the Bus & Jeep Services are available from Pokhara to Jomsom via Beni, Ghasa, Tato Pani, Tukuche, Marfa, it takes time about 10-11 hrs. There are only 4 WD jeep services after the Jomsom to Ranipauwa nearby Muktinath, it takes 2.30 hrs. The road is unpaved after Beni to Jomsom & Muktinath through the Kaligandaki river bank & hill area.

4. Helicopter services are also available from Pokhara & Kathmandu. The sight of the bewildering Annapurana and Dhaulagiri ranges will enchant you as you approach towards Pokhara Valley by air or surface. The next morning when you discover the clear sky and views of mountain, you then discover you are on your special journey to the Muktinath.

  1. Nepal is certainly a fantastic country to visit...though with the right team...
I had signed up for Kailash Mansarovar trip for Aug'16 and had made the initial deposit. When the dates were moved out(due to no fault of mine) I was owed a refund of Rs 50k(acknowledged by Nepal Tourism).....100 days onwards I am still awaiting my refund and frankly have not got much response on my emails/phone calls.
Anjali and Pooja from the Sales team are aware of this....
Not the kind of customer service which will get people to choose the packages being offered frankly...

  3. Muktinath Temple is located in the Mustang District of Nepal which is 3710 meter above sea level. It is believe that a visit to this temple will wash away all your bad activities. It is believed that the lord god Vishnu has incarnated in Saligram in this place due to the curse of Brinda (wife of Jalandhar).
